Mpumelelo Ncwadi is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Indwe Trust. Mpumelelo is responsible for leading the executive and implementation of the organisation’s strategy. Under Mpumelelo’s leadership and guidance, Indwe Trust will be taking new bearings to help rural communities chart a new course towards an economically and ecologically sound future. Mpumelelo brings to Indwe Trust passion for social entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and development of rural cooperative economy.
Prior to co-founding Indwe Trust, Mpumelelo held technical and management positions at Anglo American Corporation, Knight Piésold, and Jeffares and Green. Today he serves on the boards of Overberg Water and the Cape Town Market. Mpumelelo holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the University of Cape Town. He also holds further academic qualifications from the University of California at Berkeley and Brown University in Rhode Island, USA.
Heather Dittmar is the Co-founder of Indwe Trust and the Director of Communications. Heather is responsible for building a cohesive Indwe Trust brand. She is also in charge of cultivating new relationships and steward existing ones with individuals, foundations, corporations, government agencies and other NGOs in support of Indwe Trust’s mission and funding objectives. Equally, Heather is responsible for finding new ways to inspire multiple audiences with compelling stories using a variety of traditional and new media, gather leaders and catalyze change on a regional, and increasingly, global scale.
Prior to co-founding Indwe Trust, Heather founded and managed Appleseed Web and Graphic Design Studio, a Cape Town based design studio working with various blue chip clients. Heather holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Stellenbosch.
